Vandaag vieren we Groene Maandag 💚

Ondanks de communicatie over mijn aversie tegen Black Friday, kreeg ik toch berichtjes binnen met de vraag naar korting.

Maar net afgelopen Green Friday, zijn er vandaag ook geen Cyber Monday deals. De reden dat de prijs van onze Collectables niet wordt verlaagd met deze “geweldige aanbiedingen”, is eigenlijk heel simpel:

Ik geloof dat de dingen die we dragen en gebruiken in ons dagelijks leven, gemaakt moeten worden op een manier die de makers ondersteunt en respecteert. Onze makers werken met eerlijke handen aan onze collecties. Ik ben van mening dat wij ons bewust moeten zijn van hun werk, en daarmee hun vakmanschap, tijd en energie. Dus bij Saudade Collective zetten we ons in om jullie inzicht te geven in onze maakprocessen.

Als je deze dagen een Saudade Collectable koopt, dan willen we jouw ontzettend bedanken! Naast een geweldig cadeau voor jezelf of een geliefde, steun je tegelijkertijd ons collectief, onze bewuste keuzes en onze handgemaakte ontwerpen.

Today we celebrate Green Monday 💚

Despite the communication about my aversion to Black Friday, I still received messages asking for a discount.

But just like Saudade Collective doesn't do Black Friday, there are no Cyber Monday Deals either. There is a very simple explanation, why we don’t do these kind of “great deals”:

I believe that the things we wear and use in our daily lives should be made in a way that supports and respects the people who worked on those things for us. Our makers work on our collections with honest hands. I believe that we should be aware of their work, and therefore their craftsmanship, time and energy. So, at Saudade Collective we are committed to giving you insight into our making processes.

If you buy a Saudade Collectable these days, we would very much like to thank you! In addition to a great gift for yourself or a loved one, you also support our collective, our conscious choices and our handmade designs.

BERLIN // (English 👇) En ik ben weer thuis na een fijne week Berlijn. Naast vier dagen @zeughausmesse ook nog een beetje van de stad kunnen genieten. En Berlijn is prachtig in de herfst, die haar geel en grijs kleurt 💛 🤍

And I'm back home after a wonderful week in Berlin. In addition to four days of @zeughausmesse I was also able to enjoy the city a little bit. And Berlin is beautiful in autumn, when she turns yellow and gray 💛 🤍
