Door waardering te hebben voor het vakmanschap waarmee onze collecties worden gemaakt en door een verbinding te voelen met onze ambachtsmensen en hun verhalen. MATERIAL RESEARCH // De tijd die we besteden aan materiaalonderzoek, het ontwerp en het maakproces is een keuze, geen concessie. Wanneer we met een samenwerking nieuwe materialen uitproberen voor onze collectie is dit altijd een weloverwogen keuze. Collectables van plantaardig leer zijn een keuze, geen concessie. Het gebruik van natuurlijke grondstoffen en hernieuwbare, natuurlijke vezels krijgt bij Saudade Collective absoluut de voorkeur 🌵

The time we spend on material research, design and manufacturing is a choice, not a concession. Trying out new materials for our collection, is always a well-considered choice. Vegetable leather collectables are a choice, not a concession. The use of natural raw materials and renewable, natural fibers is definitely preferred by Saudade Collective 🌵

SMALL BATCH // (English👇)

Saudade Collective biedt een tegengeluid voor massaproductie. Wij produceren onze exclusieve collecties in beperkte oplages. Zo blijft handgemaakte productie hanteerbaar voor ons collectief en kunnen we de gewenste kwaliteit waarborgen.

De kleinschalige productie en korte toeleveringsketen maken het mogelijk, dat ik veel persoonlijk contact kan hebben met de makers gedurende het proces.

Daarnaast voorkomen we overbodige voorraad. Dit is voor mij een bijkomstigheid, aangezien onze schuur als magazijn dient en ik het afhalen van de nieuwe oplages kan combineren met andere afspraken in de buurt.

We schatten op basis van onze ervaring van tevoren in wat nodig is. Bij een nieuw ontwerp is onze inschatting soms te voorzichtig, waardoor het snel uitverkocht kan zijn. We hopen op je begrip🙏

Saudade Collective offers a contrast to mass production. We produce our exclusive collections in small batches. This way, handmade production remains manageable for our collective and we can guarantee the desired quality.

This small-batch production and short supply chain allows me to have in-person relationships with our artisans throughout the crafting.

In addition, we prevent unnecessary stock. This is a plus for me, since our shed serves as a warehouse and I can combine the collection of the new batches with other appointments in the area.

Based on our experience, we estimate in advance what is needed. With a new design, our estimation is sometimes too cautious, so that it can be sold out quickly. We hope for your understanding🙏
