NEW COLLECTION // Let me introduce the new Phoenix Necklace.

A collection very close to my heart. These necklaces are inspired by a piece of jewellery I’ve been cherishing for years. A memento to remember an everlasting bond with the one beautiful soul that made me bring Saudade Collective into existence.

Jewellery is such a personal notion and so much more than just a fashion accessory; it is our memories captured in a keepsake. Therefore, we’ve used revived gemstone beads from two strings I've been keeping in a box for a long time. Like a phoenix obtains new life by arising from the ashes of its predecessor, these Garnet and Unakiet beads are now regenerated into new keepsakes for you to wear and cherish a lifetime.

SUSTAINABILITY // It's a complex word. Over the past few years the word has come to mean so many different things, with brands, businesses, governments and citizens using it in different contexts (and out of context!)⁠

I believe sustainability is about a certain mindset. It's inherent to a durable way we ought to connect to the world around us. In the spirit of the word Saudade, sustainability should be about the longing to hold dear to something or someone, even if it's far away from us or invisible to us. ⁠

My aim with Saudade Collective is not selling you something 'sustainable'. Yes, we are dedicated to making gorgeously-designed, durable and responsibly-made products. Our collaborations with talented artisans respectfully aim for handmade designs, ethical craftsmanship, social development, compostable or even plantable packaging. And we collectively feel that those choices add value to our collections, but they don't make our products sustainable.⁠

We seek for sustainability in a deeper awareness of the manufacturing process behind a product; and of the story that is being told by our artisans, through design, material and craftsmanship. Being mindful of how our decisions impact the environment helps us in building a more sustainable relationship within our collective and with you.⁠

You relate to the things you collect. By paying attention to our products, choosing an alternative to the soulless mass-produced. By appreciating the craftsmanship with which our collections are made and relating to the artisans and their stories. You give our Saudade Collective more value, by capturing a memory in our collectables and holding it dear as your keepsakes to eventually passing it on when the time is there.⁠
